CHRISTOPHER C. HARRIS TRAVEL AWARD

Christopher C. Harris Travel Award for Graduate Students

The Christopher C. Harris Travel Award is restricted to graduate students attending the conference.The recipient will receive a check in the amount of $1,000 to go towards travel and accommodation at the Bioactive Lipids conference.

  1. 1. Graduate students seeking CCH Travel Awards must meet the eligibility requirements and apply as follows:
  1. a. Must be registered to attend the conference and submitted the abstract before application.
  2. b. Collect and assemble the following documents as a PDF file and email to the address below:
  1. i. A letter seeking the CCH Travel Award that clearly and concisely states the needs and benefits of attending the conference (one page limit).
  2. ii. A letter from the department Chairman (or other appropriate University/Research institution official), confirming the Graduate Student status and eligibility of the applicant.
  3. iii. The abstract submitted for the conference.
  1. c. Have three letters of recommendation (not exceeding one page each) emailed directly to the address below (preferably as PDF file attachments). One of the recommendation letters must be from the applicant’s mentor.
    1. 3. Application for CCH Travel Award DOES NOT preclude the applicant from participating in the contest for the Santosh Nigam Outstanding Young Investigator Award. However, application for each award must be independent of the other.
    2. 4. Deadline for the receiving all information for the Travel Award competition is Sept. 4, 2022
    3. 6. An independent panel of judges will select the finalist and the award will be presented at the Gala Dinner during the conference Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 The winners MUST be present in person to receive the award, lest they will be forfeited and presented to the runners-up at the discretion of the ERF Board of Directors
