Bioactive sphingolipid metabolism and role in disease

For their pioneering work on the role of ceramide and physiological and pathological processes, as well as defining the role of sphingolipids in aging. As distinguished co-leaders in this field Drs. Hannun and Obeid have contributed individually, and as a team, to many novel discoveries.
Call for Nominations
The Eicosanoid Research Foundation presents a Lifetime Achievement Award to individuals who have made substantial, significant contributions in the field on the role of bioactive lipids in health and disease.
The award winner will be honored at the 2022 International Conference on Bioactive Lipids in Cancer, Inflammation, and Related Disease in New Orleans, Louisiana, scheduled for Oct. 30 – Nov. 2. The awardee will deliver the Lifetime Achievement Award Lecture on the opening day of the conference.
Nominations will be solicited in early 2022.

Nominations included a letter of support from an investigator or group of investigators outlining the candidate’s major contributions, along with his/her curriculum vitae.
