ERF-WEC OUTSTANDING YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARDS

The ERF-WEC joint conference organizing committee will award Outstanding Young Scientist Awards to one graduate student and one postdoctoral fellow for the best poster presented during the conference. Five finalists in each category will be selected from among those interested in the competition and will be notified during the month of August 2025.

Requirements for participation in Outstanding Young Scientist Award competition:

1. Must be a current full-time graduate student or a postdoctoral fellow within 5 years ofobtaining a doctoral degree. A letter from their institutinal administration showing their eligibility is required. (The same letter can be used if applying for travel award as well.)
2. A letter from the mentor highlighting the research of the mentee (one page limit).
3. Must register to attend the conference and submit an abstract. Indicate willingness to give a poster presentation if selected.
4. Assemble the documents (eligibility letter, mentor’s letter, and the submitted abstract) as a single PDF file and the email to: awards@bioactivelipids.org on or before August 5, 2025.
