The Eicosanoid Research Foundation and the 12th International Conference on Bioactive Lipids in Cancer, Inflammation and Related Diseases is pleased to announce that Dr. Bengt Samuelsson was selected as the first and only recipient of the Foundation’s Extraordinary Discoveries Award.


It should also be noted that Dr. Samuelsson was one of three recipients who shared the 1982 Nobel Prize in medicine for their work on prostaglandins, specifically the discovery of prostanoids and leukotrienes.
